Anggun
Beth Nielsen Chapman |
| A well-known singer/songwriter from her native Java in Indonesia, Anggun left her homeland and is now living in Paris, France. Her music is a mixture of all kinds of influences, pop, rock, and traditional, culminating in powerful pop songs performed with unusual instruments. |
Beth Nielsen Chapman is an incredible singer and one of my favorite songwriters. Writing as inspired and beautiful is rare. Drawing great emotion from personal tragedy, Beth channels the energy from her heart into her songs. Odds are even if you've never heard of Beth, you've heard one of her songs performed by artists like Willie Nelson and Faith Hill. Beth is a treat to see in concert so if an opportunity presents itself, go! |
| Dido |
Bruce Hornsby |
| When asked to write a song for a TV show about three teenage aliens in High School, Dido recalled her first reaction was to laugh at the idea. Those who have seen the TV show "Roswell" on the WB network will recognize the theme song, "Here With Me." Dido's songs mirror a powerful soulful side of her creative being. Combined with the flowing melodies and very poignant lyrics, she is an artist worth every second of listen and a definitely attendance at concerts. |
Bruce Hornsby is a wonderful musician and person as millions of fans already know. However, he is also extremely difficult to photograph and this was as good as it got. Another definite to see in concert for those who grew up with his music and those who are new to it. |

Heather Nova
The Corrs |
| Heather was definitely at home on the large stage and is one of the few acts that is incredible to experience if the audience is right. Her music ranges from a wondrous emotional sultry to heavy driving beats with elegant harmonies. |
They are Ireland's sensation and rightfully so. Traditional instruments combine with modern rock and pop to give these three sisters and brother a unique and beautiful sound all their own. They are an absolute thrill to watch in concert and among the best shows to see today. |
| The Barenaked Ladies |
Tara MacLean |
| This band needs no introduction. Prior to their appearance on Beverly Hills 90210, they were one of the favorite bands in New England. Their music is inspired, hilarious, and a class act all their own. They are a fun happy group and should never be missed in concert! |
Tara is one of the most genuine people I have had the privilege of meeting and one of the most passionate in soul and music. Her voice, and Randi Driscoll's, are the only ones I know who can command a room of even disruptive people. There is true beauty to seeing Tara sing "Jordan", "Red", and "Silence" particularly with husband Bill Bell on electric guitar. |
| Edwin McCain |
Cindy Lee Berryhill |
| Edwin's songs strike a very personal cord with me, combining a powerful soulful voice with thoughtful heartfelt lyrics. "I'll Be", and "I Could Not Ask For More" remain 2 of my all time favorites. |
I met Cindy Lee at the first Living Room Concert in Boston, Massachusetts. Cindy Lee is one of the sweetest, nicest people you'll ever meet and has her own unique style of folk that knows no borders or limitations. If you're in San Diego, definitely drop by and listen to one of her shows! |
| Vance Gilbert |
Randi Driscoll |
| Vance is funniest of all the folk singers I've had the opportunity to meet. You will never go away from his shows without laughing or smiling. Strong writing combined with both comedic and serious delivery makes for a wonderful and very entertaining experience. If you're in Boston check the Club Passim schedule for Vance! |
In addition to having one of the most incredible voices I have heard, Randi has a wonderful caring spirit and warm heart. She wrote "What Matters" as a benefit single to the memory of Matthew Shepard and has taken a strong stand against hate crimes everywhere. Her music is honest, soulful, and beautiful. |
