The Finished Interior

The Stairwell and Unit 2 Entry Hall
The stairwell up to Unit 2 changed little from the time of purchase. The Unit 2 Hallway also remained relatively unchanged from its 70s decor with its wood panels, but a light was added just above the Tibetan mask of Mahakala, a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of universal compassion and the Great Protector against Evil Spirits.

The Living Room and Art Room
What was originally the living room and dining room became the Art Room and the Living Room. In the Art Room we put up colonial style moldings, the walls were rag painted on the wallpaper and as you can see in the photos, crown moldings with Christmas lights. We found this light configuration particularly useful when watching movies in the living room.

The Living Room

In the living room, the wallpaper remained unpainted and the moldings unchanged, at least for the time being.

The Bathroom and Kitchen
Both the bathroom and kitchen floors were retiled. At this time we left the wood paneling intact in the kitchen and the old wall tiling intact in the bathroom.

The Bedrooms
The larger of the two bedrooms became our primarly bedroom while the smaller one became our computer room, where this webpage was designed and assembled. In the bedroom was the sponge painted wood paneling on top of two coats of Kilz.

The Computer Room

The computer room shedded its wallpaper exterior and was repainted sky blue.
